172 cup (broken cambelt) - got it back today

Got my car back, complete with new cylinder head and service.

Seems to be running ok, I took it for a quick "test drive" tonight once I got home (had to get the baby and g/f out the car etc), and it seems as powerful as it was, if not maybe a bit tighter as it hits the 5k mark...

Anyway, the cost was £1400 excluding labour to fix it, hats off to renault for 3 year warranty !! so glad I had the UK version and not a euro import with the lesser 2 year warranty ....

Good news mate, you may want to take it easy for a bit tho if you have had new valves+guides, I would want to do a few miles b4 raggin it!

Yeah I would take it easy to be honest. But gald you got it fixed. reasonably quick for renault as well.

Euro import has a 3 year warranty.......;)
 
Just to clear up the import cars from Europe (cuprus excpted) have a 2 yr warently but you cna apply to Renault UK for the 3yr year its free you just need to send them a letter.
Good news though glad your cars working again.
