Like this a lot, as above looks very focused; was the Xtra just a prototype then? or has it been put into production?

looks nice that, very focused, what exhaust is on it sir?

Its a longlife system Naith, little bit rough round the edges but after a few trips back to get it sorted it does teh job nicely!

Not sure whether its still a prototype or not tbh, think quite a bit of people were put off by the extra money for not a massive gain. Only 3bhp more but an extra 8ftlb which is quite a good gain without having live mapped again!

Excuse my ignorance but why is that airbox better than the std rampipes with a filter over them?

Excuse my ignorance, whats an 'extra' ??

Extended runner length by 50mm Dan, given more peak power and a good chunk of mid to high rpm torque also.

Not sure what you mean, if you talking about the heatshield then it just has a Pipercross air filter with a heatshield around it for cooler air inlet temperatures.

Is there a back-to-back between that filter and heatshild and without? Independantly done? Surely the cold air through the grills is far more than that airbox? Curious!

No there's no back to back figures for it, true you would still get cool air through the grills but also all the heat from the engine/exhaust manifold. The heatshield gets air fed from below the passenger light/bumper area. It probably doesnt make that much difference but some gain is better than nothing or even loosing power.

Need to get the bucket & wash mitt a-sap! state of your engine bay lol!

You could install a Ph1/ v6 airbox to the normal RS2 if you removed the batt., but the extended runner length on the extra leaves you with little room up front for one to fit.

mint mint mint!

but excuse my ignorance, what's a 'longlife' exhaust? and where can i buy them?!

Dodson - Front cambers set to 3 degrees of negative, cut the bumper to be different and not make it like a parachute aerowise. Will make air pass under the car a little better.

Bumper looks cool aswell, i love the way it shows the exhaust off!

Thats some serious camber up front!
