172 Steering Wheel

I fitted the above to my Dynamique about a month ago, and now the bloody rubber handgrips are lifting!

Has anyone stuck these back on successfully?

Can new grips be bought without having to buy another wheel?

Seem to remember a while back somebody had a similar problem, came off due to the hot weather iirc....... They took it back to Renault and they replaced the whole wheel..... I have no idea if the rubber inserts are a seperate part. One of the Renault lads should be able to tell you....

Nope the stearing wheel come with the inserts as one piece.

It was my 172 steering wheel where the inserts lifted. Took it in to Renault and they just replaced the whole wheel under warranty.

The car had been sitting in the sun that day and was extremely hot inside and the adhesive stopped doing its job. The adhesive looked like hot melt type stuff which explains why it came unstuck!

Not sure if you can just buy the inserts seperately?

I have the same problem - the heat has also casued the rubber to enlarge and now will not fitt properly
