Have you tried Renault? Or Gsf?

Ive found in the past that both of the above Renault parts suppliers have stocked parts for my Renaults.

Just an idea mind.

halfords do stock them, but you'd be mental to fit them, crap!

renault genuine ones aren't too bad (from me anyway, a lot more from renault!)

depends what you want

Ring K-Tec racing for brake pads and discs. They have some on offer at the moment. I ordered a set of Brembo discs and DS2500 pads for my 172 last week.

I rolled with Halfords pads for a good few months. Nothing wrong with them at all for normal road driving. Ergo not doing repeated 80mph+ stops. I wouldn't have trusted them for real spirited use though, and definitely not on track.

You not got a local car spares place? I run £25 mintex pads as i do mental miles.
Halfords pads are rubbish.

Aren't Halfords pads Ferodos?

I wouldnt mind running them if you were JUST doing road use. Depends on how much more better pads were I suppose.

Why skimp a few pennies on brakes?? That's all you're going to save. Maybe better off spending money on consumables than spunking it up the wall on t**t strips etc ???

Brakes and tyres are things i wouldn't buy just because they are cheap. Should have maybe got the brakes sorted before the Cup spoiler.

Depends on what you do.

Not everyone needs the brakes off an F1 car to drive down the shops.
My £20ish mintex pads work well (same as standard renault pads which are double/triple that) and discs are discs when it comes to normal driving.

The spend should be motivated by need. If you need carbon pads, run them.

Just go to a local motorfactors place, They'll be ten times cheaper than Halfords and probably have the pads in stock too.

Yes halfords do sell ferodo pads. You would have to order DS2500's though. K-Tec Racing are very good for mail order though. and they know what they are talking about!
