195/45/16 tyres

  Renault Clio 182
Hi, I need some new front tyres for my 172 cup, any suggestions? I would have liked the Hankook V12's but I don't think they do them in this size.

i have t1rs in that size seems great had no probs with them atall and seem to grip well as well ? cost was £199 for all 4

  Volvo XC60 T8
I've also got T1-R's on my cup, but they cost £270 fitted. Not very good on track due to the soft sidewalls.

I was just going by other comments i've read on here.

(I've only ever used the toyos on my cars so have nothing to compare with!)

I'm in the same boat, i've read too many comments on tyres and i'm more uncertain as what to buy than ever.

I need 2 new tyres and i've got a budget of £50 a tyre, and as soon as I think i've found a good one where all the comments are good,
I find a comment saying they won't grip in the wet, or the sidewalls are soft, or I ended up in a ditch etc.

I think asking on here is a pain in the arse sometimes.

think it depends purely on driving style/ wether you think your a hero or not lol t1-r's are fine on my 172, but i love the uniroyal rainsport tyres fantastic in the wet and dry

I've just had 4 Kumho KU31 Ecsta Sport tyres fitted to my 172, I've done about 250 miles on them so far and they are proving to be every bit as good as the Continental Sport Contact 3's they replaced and seem to be quieter aswell. I can't comment on the wet grip as of yet but from what I saw from the thread on here for these tyres people seemed to think they were great in the wet too! Can't complain for £43.10 a tyre :)

goodyear eagle f1s, t1rs shocking in the wet. goodyears cost a little more than toyos but price is reflected in the performance

Iv got continental sports on my cup and they grip really well, very pleased with them and its what il replace them with. just my opinion

i hate rainsports, one of the worst tyres there is IMO!! but its all personal choice at the end of the day, pay your money and make your choice!

T1R's in the 16" are totally different to the 15" IMO.

I rocked 16" on the turini's for awhile and they scared me to death lol! The amount of times I slid around roundabouts even doing 10mph was scarey. 15" still did the same but felt better in the corners, not so much roll and didn't feel like cheese as much.

For £29 a tire in the 15's I can complain at all, get them sorted for free so works out at £130 a set fitted. Mentally cheap IMO.

(In reply to the whole T1R thing)
