2004 clio 172 idle control valve location

  2004 clio 172
Hi, I'm Andy, just joined the forum, I have a 2004 172 clio and the revs are going a bit mental, if there are any mechanics out there who could point me in the direction of the idle control valve (pics would help) I would greatly appreciate it, I have taken the throttle body apart and given it a good clean, done a OBD check with no faults, it all points to this ICV which I cant find ....please help

I'm sure the pedal controls the icv.. May be worth replacing this with a working one before buying one for your self just incase.

the engine seems a little lumpy but not that bad,the rev counter flickers and then will stay at about 2000 rpm then will slowly drop off to around 1000 rpm, when driving if I select neutral the revs will race at 2000 rpm, then again will drop off gradually, I read something about switching the ignition on and off 10 times as some kind of reset/default, any truth behind this? Please advise.

situation getting worse , rev counter hunting all the time , pretty embarrassing at lights, junctions etc with the engine revving like this, it has to be electronic which will be big money, economically beyond my pay scale ................thinking about selling the thing
