6 speed box

I feel like my 172t could use a 6th gear when cruising just to drop the revs down abit, is there a box which is a straight swap or is it the internals which need attention? @NorthloopCup

Theres the vag o2m box but it isnt a cheap conversion, youll be looking at 2-3k, 6 speed with a diff iirc.

You could always just change 5th gear ratios? I'd need to look at which ones you'd need, or if there's even one available. Only other option is a 089 box out of a ph1, but that'll only drop the rpm down a few hundred at most.

So it looks like a lot of effort for not much gain in the long run.
