You could probably buy half of Liverpool for the same money, the comparison is nearly as pointless, too.

Ok if the comparison is pointless .......what is the point ?
And why do you believe the r5 turbos are worth anything like that much ?

They are only worth as much as someone is willing to pay ect. People are obviously paying that sort of money.

Who said I believed it? I just think your comparison is pointless. If someone wants to pay £90k for a Renault, that's up to them - I'm sure they don't give two hoots what else the same amount can buy them.

Well like you i dont believe it either also like you and all the rich people who would buy one of these i am entitled to my opinion which in my case makes my comparison totally valid as i do compare things of similar values and decide which i think is best. And trust me if it were my 85k it wouldnt be going on the little french car

No-one's depriving you of an opinion. Take a breath and calm down, petal...

I'd continue to try and explain why your method of comparison can be silly at times, but I think I'd have more joy trying to nail water to a wall.

Lmao i was about to say the same to you
Not sure how you can say anything to me about taking a breather. Which was a reflection on the total lack of punctuation, but sure, laugh your arse off and say the same to me if you like, chum.

Its the same thing with the Clio V6. Its the last of what is essentially a dying (dead?) breed we'll never see again! The premiums are high because its a 'think outside the box' niche car for a small market, classic car values are getting more and more attention than ever, and as said - they are this price the same reason the 911 4.0 RS is now 300k rather than the 125k it was sold new for, people will and are paying it.

Would gladly own one of these over a Porsche or a Ferrari for that matter. Its a classic car. Its part of Renaults racing roots.

This, the 205 T16, lancia delta, ford rs200 and a escort mexico are my dream cars.... So much heritage!

4 star classic prices as per usual.

I don't know how they formulate them !
Well it's based liked any rare/limited thing on the planet. condition + how rare + desirability = your price.
If you can't get them new anymore and their are limited numbers left then of course you have to pay a fortune to buy one. These cars are very rare and have a fantastic racing heritage.

That same company on eBay are responsible for 99% of the "How f**king Much???" threads that pop up on various car forums.

I've genuinely no idea if they sell for anywhere near what they're advertised for, but there are some people out there that will pay big money for clear, low mileage 'collector' cars.

The price advertised i suspect is irrelevant. Super high prices weed out people offering £3k and a curly wurly, and promote exposure.

That exposure may lead to a serious buyer seeing it and falling in love.

But yeah, they love a thin air figure.
