Aaaaahhhhhh gearboxmount bolt snapped

As per my previous topic about a resonance.....
Well i found the reason today.
The bolt coming up from the gearbox has snapped quite a deep way into the box.
Any idea on how to remove that bolt?
Is it a renault part, or just a piece if threaded rod?

Ok I have clamed down now and removed the mount the bolt goes into, do I have to buy the whole mount or just the bolt assembly?

Personally, thats a new mount needed I'm afraid.

Depends what kind of tools you have at home, them mounts can be had for pennies anyway but.....

Centre dab the bolt, drill a hole carefully in the centre, soak in wd40 for a while if the piece is tight and then use an easy out or an old male torque socket to wind it out. Or nut over the top and weld the broken bolt to the nut.

Removed the mount from the gearbox ant it looks like the only part i'll need is the pin....
Here's hoping a dealer will have it in stock on monday!

I did the exact same thing, if you look at the mount where the bolts goes through it looks like it is threaded although both I got hold of had knackered threads..

Found our what the cause was..
The nyloc nut that holds the pin to the bracket was fingertight....none if the nylon was engaged........
