I've been thinking about going down a different route in terms of suspension setup mainly because I can't really justify £750 on H&R's right now.
I want to go for Bilstein dampers but can't find them anywhere for the clio. The idea was to couple these with some custom faulker springs ( http://www.dfaulknersprings.co.uk/ ) as a mate of mine has this setup on his 106 and the handling is spot on IMO.
What would it handle like if I was to keep the standard cup dampers and fit these springs? I'd go for about a 50mm drop on the front and 30mm on the back as this is what most places like Mark Fish would set the car up with IIRC? I think something like a 200lb spring or possibly a little more would be about right on the front.
I've seen some Eibach dampers on the GDI site for about £450, but have my heart set on the billies I'm going to get in touch with faulker today to see if they have any info on spring setups for clios.
Any help/advice would be greately appreciated Car is a 172 cup btw.
