Am I Missing A Hanger?!

Hi, I have a slight exhaust leak which turns to a super loud whistle when the foot goes down, upon inspecting it, it looks like the cat is hanging down a little bit, so with the car running I pushed it up into the air and the leak stopped and the exhaust system looked alot more level. To me it looks like a hanger should be right above where I pushed up, but I cant see any place the hanger should be

Please help, its going into the garage today to have the tracking done so if I can locate the problem I might tell them to sort it if its going to be quick enough, thanks
And if it DOES turn out to be a missing hanger can anyone be so kind as to point out where it should of gone?!

Ater another look it does appear that there are no locating points for a hanger so could I be right in saying that the clamp needs to be removed, pipes lifted up and then a new fresh clamp bolted on nice and tight? I really would of thought that an area with a sleeve fitment could do with another clamp to keep it secure

Pretty sure only hangar is the centre one in that area, so yea try that mate

Well ive told the garage who is doing my tracking to replace the clamp, check for a missing hanger and seal the leak while they have the car

The hanger is further down than where you took the pic though IIRC? so if there isn't one is the only hanger you have the backbox one? Good your getting it sorted as pretty sure it will be putting a lot of stress on the manifold etc!

At garage now, he has removed clamp, lifted exhaust back up and then refitted clamp, he says it's stopped blowing now, I will keep my eye on it and if it sags again I will order new clamps as that's probably the culprit! Like you said I bet it was putting alot of stress on the mani, hope it's worked! Tracking getting sorted now
Hanger wise there WAS definately hangers towards the backbox section just none over the join at cat sleeve

the centre section hanger is further back than where you have pointed to in the picture. renew this mount along with a heavy duty clamp

the cat is on a flexi piece to the right of your picture (not shown) therefore it will adjust to your center hanger.

From looking at your picture it is looking as though the original clamp was slightly out fitment wise as its at a slight angle which is also why its leaking.

thanks all, clamp refitted, all fixed now and the car sounds so much better, much deeper noise and no whistle when accelerating!
did it free of charge too, also wheels were 5mm out of tracking so now the car doesnt steer off to the right lol happy days

this was more than a whistle tbf, it was more like when you blow up a baloon and then pinch the neck and let air out lol

Ah ok mate haha mine was like a dump valve but a s**t one that whistles (bit like them daft exhaust whistles on ebay I'd imagine haha) Only did it at low revs when slowing down at about 3.5k revs and below!
