i think the guy on here put a link up from hefords website because they were selling them cheap so people said that all the chavs will be in helfords like a shot because the price had come down!!!

dont know what i would recommend , do you need an amp aswell mate?

i have a link some were from a company who sells all kinds of pakages for around £200 but have to find it so when i do i will post it

youll learn that reviews in mags like that are based on money "donated" to the magazine, with enough money max power would even "rate" SPLx equipment

best bet is to go to a shop, and ask what they recommend, outside of their official sales product (they always sell them 1st)

cheap quality bass - look at infinity, phoenix gold and vibe for a start, mac audio are also worth a look

granted the jbl packages are good vfm, but IMHO they wtill wouldnt come close to a phoenix gold combination in terms of quality

best description i heard for jbl = just bloody loud

no quality to the sounds produced, just makes a loud noise

if its what youre after, jbl will do the trick, sadly i look for more in ice than just noise

for the money i doubt very much you could get better, at the moment with the deals they are pretty much the same price as SPLx stuff

oh and there not that bad, George Lucas has a JBL system at his Lucas Ranch studio, and the Ministry of Sound use it in clubs aswell

please lets not compare in-car speakers and other speakers, i have a load of sony HE equipment lying round the house, as imho, it is pretty good quality for the money, however would not touch sony ice for the complete opposite reason,. its crap for the money

but yes, value for money, i dont think there are many companies can offer the same, but the quality can easily be bettered

and please ----- dont buy sony ice

not worth it i was gona get it because i wanted a bigger amp and sub but the amp was like quater the size so i purchased a new sub and saveing up to get a 1200 watt amp! thats the best way if u ask me

the Phoenix Gold Octane R range is quite cheap, well, the speakers/subs are, the amps are still a bit pricey

i dont know of any packages though and your looking at way more than the JBL packages im talking about, at least double the price
