Arb

Hi all, I have a compatibility question.
I've started a widetrack conversion on my mk2 ph2 1.2. All the parts being used are directly taken from a 172 ph1.

Today I've changed the shocks, wishbones, arb, hubs, discs etc...
When I bolt the wishbones to the subframe, the arb doesn't line up properly.
When I bolt the arb to the wishbones, the wishbones won't reach the subframe.
Why is this?

Are the subframes completely the same as I've been told?

Thanks, Cory.

  Many.
Have you got the ARB central on the subframe, assuming you only had this issue on one side?

Sounds more like an error on your part than parts. Subframes aren't massively different size wise.

I remember reading somewhere once that the ph1 subframe had different wishbone mount positioning.

If you have the ph1 subframe measure against it to see.

Got a pic of how it sits

Looks like it you loosen the central bushes that will just rotate into place

Never fiddled with the arb so don't know how it all fits but in your photo there appears to be a dark area on the arb, will the bush just not slide on a bit more?

Sorry guys, I've found out how to make it fit and I have to say I'm amazed.
It handles like a dream in comparison to the standard 1.2 setup. It also has eibach springs which lowers it and firms it up that little bit more.
