At my wits end, running on 2 cylinders.

Right well I first had a problems after the car ran out of fuel, and didn't get topped up for a week. Ran on only 3 cylinders at first, then I replaced an injector, and after that it started running on two cylinders. I've just put a whole new rail in with injectors and still the same. I've changed the leads and coil pack also, no change. I have a lambda in front of me but I seriously doubt it would be that.

I did notice that whatever plug is in the middle on the front of the block has a connector with 2 wires entering it, yet there seems to be a third wire that's been cut and is just poking out the heatshrink above.

I've ran out of ideas other than the ecu, and I don't want to be changing that.

Any ideas anyone? Whoever comes up with a winning solution will have a case of beer posted to them!

And ask them to take it to cornwall? I've never used a breakdown company so don't know what happens when you call them!

Oh and it's currently sorn'd so doubt it would work either way!

Do you have any mechanic friends/family that can have a ganders?

OBD's are very cheap on ebay too

Maybe, my dad's got a mate from his 4x4 club that has his own garage, along with every snap on tool you could think of. I know he has the latest greatest diagnostic thing but I'm hoping he's got the necessary adaptor for renaults as he mainly works on jags and land rovers.

Failing that, would an OBD give me an exact cause to the problem, as I already know that cylinder 1&2 are the cause.
