auto glym hd wax any good?

Thinking of buying some auto glym HD wax is it any good
Anybody used it, I all ready use auto glym products inc shampoo resin polish wheel clean etc just wondering if this product will finish it off nice? Thanks dannyb,

Yes it's highly rated stuff mate. Certainly worth buying it to keep the paint protected and to finish it off.

Just put a few layers on and when you notice it not beading or being as effective when washing the car then add some more. Should last months and months before needing to reapply.

The tub itself will last ages.

2 layers should be fine mate and yeah apply then buff off and then apply another layer and buff that off.

As above don't put it on too thick and let it dry too much else will be hard work to buff off.

With hd wax I always apply to two panels, remove the first, apply to a third, remove the second etc. I also treat the roof and bonnet as two panels.

Keep it thin a d only a few panels at a time as above, or its a pain in the @ss to use. Good wax if you get it cheap enoug though.

I'm a proper beginner with regards to detailing and I used Auto Glym HD wax for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Found it very easy to work with and the results were stunning.

I used some prima amigo applied with a DA polisher and then 2 coats of HD wax. To say I was pleased would be an understatement.

I use a DA for polishing. The wax I apply and buff by hand.

I honestly don't know mate. It's well worth investing in DA. Mine was about £130 I think. Great bit of kit.

Try and apply it as thin as possible, or it will weld itself to the paint.

As long as you apply it correctly you should be able to do the whole car and then buff it off. That is what HD was designed for.

As Dave said, doing it inside is a massive help. I always use it inside which I forgot about. Sorry mate, good point

Yeah the auto glym HD is decent stuff and comes off really easily, i prefer Dodo juice purple haze pro though

I think he means having the whole car indoors (ie garage), so it doesn't dry off too quickly.

O get ya mean it's a hard colour to keep clean glacier White plus I live in country I spend 3 hours cleaning it then half hour later mud all up the sides I can't win with it tbh lol just got keep on top of it I guess?

HD is like a Hybrid wax, a lot of one like that, Colli, FK etc hence they last very well. Really like HD, very good LSP.

Works really well on the Ultra Red Megane. Results are incredible and that's with just one layer.

Tub should last a long time too.

It will work on any colour mate don't get all hung up on these colour specific waxes they dont make much difference any way.
