Aux belt an easy job for average garage?

  Renaultsport Clio 172
I know the cambelt is a job to be done only by those in the know and with the proper tools, but can the aux belt and aux tensioner (i.e,. full aux belt kit) be done by any competent garage?

Cheers
Al

  Not got a car
I need mine doing, not sure if its been done, want to be safe.

How much roughly should it cost.

Riverside Garage in Tonyrefail. (Just behind the petrol garage if you know it)

Richard is the guy to speak to, he did my aux belt, and regularly does bits and bobs for me, very keen on price too.

Kits around £116+vat
Official book time is 2.2 hours, thats if you do it the long way and take the bumper and headlight out which you really dont need to do.
A decent garage should be able to do this job no problems.

yer shouldnt be a problem, ive done it without taking the bumper and headlight off, put half the belt on the bottom pulley, turn engine over and it will drag itself on.

dont like this method, removed a belt that had been on about 6 weeks recently and i presume this had been done, because the belt was chewed up pretty bad, with chunks missing
