Aux belt squeaking

Had belts replaced by a specialist earlier this year, now it's squeaking on startup and for a good 15 mins of driving. And the squeak noise goes faster and louder as I go up the revs.

Any ideas ?

If they replaced the belt kit then my guess would be its one of the accesoies run by the belt that are squeaking ie the alternator, pas pump, water pump or air con

PAS pump/waterpump knackered or the aux tensioner has seized etc etc, get it checked ASAP, should be under warranty with whoever did the work, it certainly would be if it was us!

Yea il have a look into it. Sprayed just wd40 on it just now. Squeak went away for abit 5 mins. Now back again. Oh the joys

Oh plus my water bottle on had a tiny amount in. I've topped it up. Would it leak if the water pump had gone ?

Make sure you check the bearings on the waterpump, mine went and had to replace the Aux belt as the bearings spat it off, tensioner and the pump itself. IT'S NOT A CHEAP FIX

That is also signs of the pump gone, get it checked.

Is the water pump on the aux belt system ? I'm sure the noise is coming from the pulley nearest the top of engine. Just on the left of the self tensioner ?

my passat been sqeeking since the damp weather came a week or so.ago and now the squeeks gone and the alts failed-il out my money on it its been running dry
