AUX Belt Woes!

I have just rang up my local Reanualt dealer in Nottingham and they have quoted me £651 for a 36k service and changing the AUX belt on a Clio 182 with air con. Is this excessive?

Just a little I would say, but I thionk its a standard dealer price.

I got a 36K service, with Aux belt and cam belt change for about that from K-tec.

Shop around, the independants are cheaper, and normally better service too.

I got quoted £500+ from 3 off the muppet dealers round here.

As a guide, Rentech in Portsmouth quoted £275-375 depending on whether they replaced just the aux belt or the belt and tensioners etc. Thats for the 36k service + belt change btw.

Have you tried AC Williams Renault at Grantham Pete?

You can at least talk to them about the price if its a bit on the high side.

£651 sounds v expensive!!

Paid £324 all in on mine, though that was about 3yr ago.
