Many Things
Well after 4 months of german ownership I'm back with a clio, this time a trophy
Bit of history about it, No.007, first car sold to a customer, first 6 were press cars, got 3 previous owners and the last only had it for 4 months but was too hard to use for day to day use.
So, I got the car and had to sort the exhaust straight away, its still not perfect and some centre/rear section adjustment should get it sat mint but for now its sitting better due to a socket and some plastic tubing in the rear mount.
Paint work was a complete mess, very very badly oxidised, harsh swirling (car wash, brush marks) so it was a bit of a shame to see a trophy in such bad shape paint wise.
Car itself drives brilliant, very tight and although the shocks havent been refurbed yet they've been cleaned every year and ensuring the seals are in perfect shape (So I'm told)
I intend to change the engine/gearbox soon just to tighten them up as I think they've deteriorated over time, then it will be perfect
Full set of exalto's aswell, very well cared for mechanically by the previous owners
So here it is
I've completely paint corrected the car, some parts I'm not happy, in particular the tailgate and rear bumper, car is yet to have any wax on as I didnt get it finished until 2.30am on the day of TRAX, after 2 hours sleep we set off, didnt look too bad after doing 250 miles
For the detailing people heres a couple of s**t 50/50s off my phone
What I had to deal with (a lot worse than the pics)
What I was left with
Finished in the garage at 2.30am :dead::dead::dead:
I've got some more pictures on my camera that I will upload later but so far trophy ownership has been great
