Stock. Waste of time buying one unless you just want a nice induction roar but then you'd look an idiot because it would sound fast and hardly be moving.
Panel filter will not make it louder as it fits into the standard box - and it's the box that has all the sound deadening in it. I had a K&N 57i in my 1.2 and always liked the sound of that. My mate has a pipercross one and that also makes a good purr.
Here's a pic so you get the idea:
As you can see the cone does'nt have a silencing box - thus making the nice noise. People on here don't have much time for performance mods on a 1.2 but this really did make me smile at the sound. And if it makes you happy then who gives a s**t what these guys think. Lol
Cheers guys might consider a cone one then, how loud will it make my exhaust though? Ive got non standard back box, i dont want it any louder, Im not going for the chav look, no way! Just want the engine to sound abit better.
It won't make it much louder, if I was you I would go for a panel filter tbh or get a pipercross I use to have one on my old 1.2 and that sounded orite, not to chavvy.
Exhaust note will be the same. If you go with a cone youl get a nice roar when you floor it but other than that itl be the same. I had a knn cone on my old 1.2, biggest waste of money ever.
I've got a powertec cone on my 1.2. I'm pleased with it, gives me a nice roar. It'll do me until I can get a sport and hear a real roar!
But if you've got an aftermarket exhaust, the induction noise probably won't be as loud or impressive over that.
