hey there yall' im taking a loan out for £14000 (yes fourteenthousand) and im looking to spen the best part of 8k on my clio. I have a 1.4rt but i was gonna either put a r5 gtt engine in there or a willians 2.0 but get a garage i know to turbo it. Ive heard tha the r5 gtt can produce 300bhp when tuned but i just want the fastest clio out there. i just wanna see the look on all the impreza drivers as i blast past them in my rusty shed!!! Im aslo gonna put nos on it if i can i want to produce about 500bhp. I dont know if you will have heard of sunny? He is the guy that got his fiesta to go 178mph!well in kinda hoping for that.lol.I wanna spend most of the money on engine mods so any suggestions would be excellent.

F7P high compression turbo or F7R on TB's, uprated internals and NoS.

I think you'd be pushed to achieve 500Bhp though, even with NoS and £8k.

speak to BBPT, £7K is enough for the high boost conversion, plus you'll be needing a 2.0 in the first place

Y not buy a 172 cup, then go for tb's re-map and headwork.

taking out a £14k loan and spending £8k of that on mods is stupid imo! If you want a faster car fine, take out the loan and buy a faster car, the car will only loose value slightly quicker than you are paying off the loan, spending it on mods will mean you piss away the £8k, you'll never get anything near that back!!

Frankly your a class one fruitcake, your spending over £20k+ (once repayments have been made) on a Clio which is a rubbish base for a modded car, why not buy a 172 or a cheap Mk1 V6 and tune that, easier route to 500bhp. If your doing up your 1.4 your gonna need to spend a fortune of suspension and brakes to cope with the extra power too.

250bhp or so is pretty much the limit on any clio gearbox so you're fooked straight away TBH for massive power.

I'd stick with BB's turbo on a 1.8 or if you must, or a 2ltr on TBs.

Another option might be getting a 1.2 for 50quid plus two s/h 1.8 engines for 50quid piece then go see EP motorsport to get 4x4 like they did with their R5 demo car. Granted it was 2 250bhp GTT engines in an R5 but the clio has the same floorplan so the principal will be the same for a clio.

Either way, things are gonna cost!

Like everyone above, i reckon you'll wake up one day and think why? Do you really want to spend forever paying it or be crippled monthly while you do? Trust me - it's not nice.

Wouldn't it just be a better idea to buy a newer car with that money? You'll never get that money back when selling it, plus you'll probably still be paying off that loan when you don't even own the car anymore!!
