Black gold

Black gold, as all owners know....

  1. Scratches simply looking at it
  2. Shows up every bit of dirt that floats in the earth's atmosphere
  3. Is a b**ch to PC (at times)
  4. ...and generally looks good, about 2% of the time.

I gave the 182 a quick wash before setting off for work yesterday, and even with a crappy iPhone image - this was definitely one of those 2% of times.

It almost makes the heart-ache, struggle and general annoyance for the remainder 98% of the time seem worth it!

I feel your pain :( I hate how quickly my car seems to attract dirt after it's been cleaned :(

  BG 182 FF
I also feel this pain, going to treat mine when it hits 50k to a proper detail. Looks shiney though :)

The only problem with spending an entire month cleaning a car like a really anal OCD sufferer is that, within 500 yards, all but the first 2 hours are a complete waste of time :(

Agreed plus where I live in go up a durt track, not good lol. My paint work is looking rather tired though so will tie it in with the front bumper that needs respraying. However is the worst colour to keep clean should have learnt the first time :s

I washed mine when I got home tonight... ten minutes later we had a mental shower with what must have been a million tonnes of sand in it. Looks sh*t now :banghead:

On the shelf in the attic, unpainted and collecting dust for the past 3 years! :)

Much prefer the look with them off tbh. Makes the alloy/wheel area look more 'mechanical' if that's the right phrase - less form, more function, if you get what I mean.
