BMC CDA - 16v

Iv been reading a couple of posts on these. Thinking of getting one to replace my K&N. The only thing I have managed to find is below. Will this have the adaptor does anyone know? Cheers

I emailed Passion Motorsport a while ago and they said that it came with an adaptor, but they couldnt be certain as the kits are delivered direct to the customer from Italy.

This is the thing that is putting me off.

Has anyone got one from Passion Motorsport?

BMC dont do the adaptor. You need to get one made to fit on the throttle body with oval or round nozzle in order for silicone hose to clamp on which then goes to the BMC.

Got mine fabricated and the place that did it may do it for you too.

ok iv emailed the company and they can make me an adaptor. They are going to get back to me with more details.

Matty did his first then I was in the middle of getting one made and then blew my Clio up. AFAIK you definitely DONT get any kind of adapter from BMC, you only get the box and the piping.

On the Passion Motorsport website it says that the kit comes with a flange adaptor.

Is this not for attaching the kit to the throttle body?

If not, what is it for?

on the BMC website (U.S.) it says the kit doesnt come with the required oval adapter

and Passion have told me that they no longer stock the Clio 16v kit because of this problem, but said if you manage to get an adapter they will order/sell you one no problem....

Looked into this, and the adaptor is supposed to be available but isnt. Someone in France made an adaptor but BMC and its distributors dont have it.

I asked a place who were interested in doing this as they did work on Fiats. I drew around the K&N and also the throttle body and they fabricated and adaptor with oval mouth for the silicone hose to fit. Worked out a lot cheaper than the Viper too, nearer to 200 quid considering the adaptor and silicone hose was included.

I emailed the company and they gave me the email of another company who can make the adaptors. He said he can def make one but will get back to me on a price...!

Skiidd69@aol.com is the email for Steve Howe of teh company who sorted my kit and adaptor out. I would advise giving him a try as he did me a good deal and the adaptor he made for me is great.

Mention me and it should jog his memory or help as it was 6 months ago.

Im not sure if I was supposed to go back for them to finish anything off. Please let me know if this is the case. Adaptor was made in mild steel as it was more workable but think they may do them in stainless.

Would get the whole lot of them as they know what they are doing and offer good prices inc discount. They used SFS (or is it SPS) hosing which is apparently better than samco.
