Box on the positive battery clamp?? Help ASAP

I've got a clio 1.2 16v 53plate
just wondering does anyone know what the little box is on the positive battery clamp??

It's usually just a cover to stop anything landing accidentally on the positive terminal and shorting the battery out

It's not the little red box, it's like a browny cream colour I'm trying to upload a pic and ill show you

Oh that bit!

I think it's just a 90 degree bend but it may contain also act as a fuse like the mega fuses

Do I need it? As mines coming off and I've been to shops and stuff and no one seems to sell them?

i think it's a fuse if so you need it. Try a breakers or renault.
