Cambelt change with the engine already removed

  PH2 172 & 182
just wondering if anyone has had this done, or any specialists on here who have done it, could give a rough idea on how much they've paid/charged for the job? obviously parts are still the same, but i imagine labour is reduced greatly

cheers

Its about 300 quid in parts for cambelt, aux kit, dephasor if you are doing a non cup.

Very quick and easy job with the engine out though, under an hour very easily.

  DON'T SEND ME PM'S!!
So should be looking about £300 for a cambelt swap? Or is that optimistic?

wouldn't even be that, as the aux kit should be fitted once it's in the bay anyway (it's too tight to take chances with damaging it on the way in)

I'm all up for fitting the aux belt myself, should be simple enough. Looks like I might be rebuilding my new 182 then...
