cambelt changes

  Monaco 172
hey guys

have had a look through the threads to findout the cambelt changing times etc. and discovered i need to do mine asap so was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with ktec cambelt changes and also the rentech non-genuine cambelt changes as they are both local and seem to be very well priced and i have heard great things from both companies.

also if anyone knows how much it will cost to get my washer pump replaced, had a go at it today and it went terribly wrong, flipping wiper arm wouldnt come off!!

cheers

non genuine = genuine if that makes sense!!

genuine renault cambelt kit = gates powergrip kit
non genuine (if you specify) is gates powergrip kit (but make sure they use a gates kit)

the difference between the 2 kits is the renault one has a diamond on the belt, thats it!

k-tec and rentech are both specialists, get a price from both and see who's cheapest, the work will be on par

i would recommend changing the aux belt tensioner, idler and belt aswell, just changing the belt is a false economy in my opinion

Fred, do you have a fixed price for the cambelt and aux belt change? Your fairly local for me, and would rather you saw my money than a Renault dealer.

Use the search for feedback from forum users.

I have my 182 routinely serviced at KTEC, this year the belts and pretensions etc were all changed.

Excellent service and price.
