I'm finally getting My Camber Bolts and Shims Fitted in the Morning by this place

http://www.autotest.org.uk/

I'm thinking they will know the Settings that will be best for my car BUT just incase what do you recommend for a Fast Road Setup??

Thanks
Andy.

i always run a smidge (as in a tiny tiny tiny) amount of front toe in and the rears i normally go the same if not parallel ie no toe at all.

front camber with me is an odd one, i personally prefer not much front camber and a nice chunk or rear camber

suspension setup is an odd one, i can set my car up so i love it, if you were to drive it you'd think it was a POS

i know mark fish generally always sets the front up with a good chunk of toe out

its one of those finger in the air type things, but if you know how you would like your car to feel would be useful

I've left it with them and told them to do what they think is best for Fast Road Use... Hopefully I'll get a Print OUt or something telling me waht everything is set at and I will take it for a Good Drive and Report Back to you.

It's all done and the Car feels so much better to drive, I think the Car has been Set-Up for General Everyday Use but here are the Printouts so if someone could explain what it all means that would be great :)

we always used to run toe out on the front and toe in on the rear on the race cars not too sure how this will work on a road car though

very Likely as they are Whiteline Camber Bolts so I'd presume they have more Camber Available.... I just left it with them and only spoke to the Receptionist Lady so didn't get to really talk to anyone about what I was after,

I'll probably get them re-done in the summer if I do some Track Days and probably up it to -1.5 or even -2 I expect

At least it will stop me Ruining the PE2's as the Sides were wearing fast as the settings were so far out :(

I left these

and these in the car

SNV30908.gif

and they used the Bolts but left the Yellow Parts (These the Shims)

But they Guy said he did put Shims on it but they do stock there own products I believe so may ahve used them on it instead.

Lookinfg at the Printouts they are making slightly More sense and to me it looks like he's gone with a very OE Setup on the car.... Will no doubt get it redone in the summer ready for some proper driving but for now it has made the car drive alot nicer.

im wondering how far my car would be in the red if i ever put it on one of them adjustment computers ....

Doesnt seem like much front camber? I'm running -ve 2.5 on the front of mine.

Not sure what my rear camber is as a pro place didnt set it up for me it was a ex clio cup mechanic as a back hander, but been told about -ve 1 on the back is a good set up.

Good news is if you take it to more camber on the front you'll notice a MASSIVE difference, I went from a rough -ve 1.5 that I set to -ve 2.5, felt like a different car.

Been told by several people that 2 and over is excessive for road use?

^ Suppose it depends on driving mate, I don't do many miles so doesnt really affect me, but on the odd motorway trip it is a bit wierd.

Although, the handling is awesome, so well worth a bit of inner edge wear etc!

how much were the whiteline camber bolts then?

I think the Bolts and the Unused Yellow Polyeutherebe Thingys (I'm no Mechanic ) were about £85 Delivered BUT they took Bloody Ages as there were none in the UK whne I ordered them :(
