can a clio lower 45mm without ruining the drivability etc

  cup 182
as above
want to lower car but whats lowest you can go without encountering problems or ruining handling drivability etc
cars a 172 cup on 16inch turinis

You can get 60mm springs but they aren't the best for handling and will ruin your dampers unless you uprate those too. Do you want looks or handling? Or both?

id like it to look lowish so the wheels are snug in the arches not euro low where its on the floor but to handle well without being skittish and all over the place

Personally I'd look for a decent set of used coilovers in the marketplace on here. That way they will be cheaper than buying new but still decent coilovers.
