Car Damaged .....

whilst it was in Renault having work done and I havn't noticed until I have just washed it have I got a leg to stand on ??

On the sil its not massive but thats not the point they have scratched it and it was not there when I walked them round the car when I dropped it off

happens everywhere tho Maz, tis just a way of life When my silver one went into reno, it came out with a huge red mark on the bumper.......bit of tar remover and it was off, thankfully

Feel for you Maz....my dynamique got badly dented on the drivers side rear quarter panel when it was in having some warranty work done...i noticed it in the car park when i went to pick it up....totally exploded at the service manager right in the middle of the showroom.....safe to say he was slightly red in the face...had it back in the following week dent removed and resprayed....

Dont take no for an answer especially if it was perfect when it went in and if they walked round it with you.

Mine came out of reno with a dent in the rear panel after its 24k service, I didnt notice until I came home (20 mile drive) phoned them up expecting the usual 'it must of happened after you left', but to my surprise it was sorted out free of charge.

Ok it took them 2 attempts to fix due to substandard workmanship, but it was sorted.

I go to this backstreet garage place while mines in for service and just stand and watch, takes about an hour. best way.

at my dealership when it last went in they were proper anal about all the imperfections so that none could come back on them. they will insist they walked you round the car - so sadly that'll be the end of it, unless they're feeling generous.

dont even get me started on this topic, I went to the same dealer as Alan did all beit yrs before and had the same problem, had the car for two weeks and the nik I got it back in was totally un acceptable I ended up with the car fixed and 250 quids worth of vouchers to buy more crap service from them!!!

had a very similar issue with my old car. it had a large scratch on the bonnet. Only noticed when I got home due to the poor light when I picked the car up. Took it back the next day and they said the usual - must have been done on the way home. I told them to stopbeing idiots and admit it. The guy went into the workshop and asked every mechanic in there, came out and saids I just asked them and they said it wasn't them, they wouldn't lie. I said are you calling me a liar? he wouldn't say yes and I said I wasn't leaving until they fixed it, it was there fault and they were crap. They buffed it out there and then and it was fine.

Just dont take no for an answer and they'll have no choice but to fix it.

Well a bit of advice, in the bodyshop that i work in we have had some incidents like this and sh1t happens its life, but i cannot see them saying NO,you did it. because at the end of the day youve informed them of it when you have noticed it, my money is on them saying sorry and sorting out the damage as they should!

Nightmare Maz. I hate taking pride in/looking after things. Incidents like this always happen and just make you wonder why do I bother.
