Cd changer under seat

Basically this is my second 172 and my first ff one had a cd changer under the passenger seat. Is this an option or not? There is a cubby hole of sorts attached instead

i got a question kind of linked into this too. i left some cds in mine when i replaced the player to a new sony one. is there any way i can open it to get cds out without reconecting old unit?

Mine is under the drivers seat...lol

Any car Pre-Nov 2002 it was standard according to the website. After that it was a £300 option.
