Cheap and light weight seats that use standard seatbelts

  Ph2 Clio 172
Hmm.

I'm thinking about stripping the interior, but it seems rather pointless removing the back seats to just leave the massive heavy fronts in. I don't have the money or desire to go buckets and harnesses.

I thought with pretty much all buckets you could use the standard seatbelt?
Whats your budget?
As you can pick up some fk/ unbranded/ replica seats for not too much money, think i saw 2 buckets (fk ripoffs from the looks of them) for 119.99 but you'd have to get sub frames on top. Although tbh i have no idea how comfy these would be!
I think the subframes are quite pricey too!

PP ABE are the only ones "approved" for standard belt

what about using standered bucket style seats from another manufacture like out of an impreza or tyre r

I'd imagine standard seats from something else would be heavier too, especially if you want to replace cup seats.

I'll be keeping an eye on this as I'm in the same boat.

Yeah I want to make my car lighter, and improve the seats, but cheaply as I'm trying to have fun in my car on track, not spend all the money on stuff and leave it sat on the drive.

Some cheap buckets sound great, but then if you have to buy a cage, and harnesses, and then get a harness bar welded in, etc etc it all becomes a very expensive exercise.

Bimarcos look like the cheapest decent bucket seats, just need to know if they can be used with standard belts. Surely someone must have done it.
