Cheapest inlet matching

Cheapest isn't always the worst ;) . I've been looking at Ktec, Jamsport etc. and there's a good looking manifold on ebay but again that's Ph2. I'm in talks with the guy who ports heads for me at the moment.

The ones on here are always Ph2 inlets, no good for me. And I don't want to buy a lower half then match it to my top half. I just want to send my ph1 inlet off for a decent job.

I am pretty sure the engineering company you are trying to arrange a headwork GB with would be able to do it?

i have a set of upper and lowers for a ph1 done by neil roper. in my hut at the moment. they are in the for sale section somewhere. hes one of the best in the business.

I can send mine off, have them matched, blasted and painted for £150 including return delivery. The guys work is second to none so I'll see if I can get a spare inlet set unless I go for yeecup's

excuse me for asking a silly question here but whats the difference between a phase 1 and 2 top inlet ? i have a inlet at the moment not clear on which phase it falls into as its for sale ! thanks

There are differences between the Ph1 172, Ph2 172 and 182 Inlets, they are all different and not interchangeable.

Any ideas what these differences are ? I know my 182 inlet has two bolt holes at the back of the manifold and the usual ones to the lower inlet !
But the other manifold I have looks the same but the bolt holes at the back there's only one on the right side where it bolts to the rocker cover , other than that looks identical !
 
The lower half are interchangeable but later cars have the RS stamped one which is slightly better.

For the top half, the 182 and 172 have different breathing arrangements at the back as you've mentioned.

The 172 ph1 and 172 ph2 have different bolt spacings for the different throttle bodies, DBW vs cable.
