Climate control pump needs replacing?

Had my 172 on the diagnostic computer and they have checked everything. Been told by dealer that the pump needs replacing. It still works in that I can turn the temerature to max and it gets hot then drop it down to min and it cools BUT NOT COLD. Gas is good and no leaks. Any ideas guys? I have been quoted £600. :dapprove:

they said they were ok. they reckon its an internal fault with the compressor pump. you can hear the pump kick in when turned on but makes no difference. anyone else had this??????????????????:dapprove:

Well, after seeing a Kwikfit £25 offer on a regas I thought at least I find out if it is that. It works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will let you know how it goes
