Clio 1.2 - odd steering sensation

Have a Clio 1.2 which is fitted with an electric rack. When driving straight ahead it feels to have a 'high spot' ! The effect is that is seems to be very sensitive to road surface. Can only describe at a bit 'vague' ....

The tracking has been checked and all is good. Tyres are good with no uneven wear, tyre pressures even. Passed the MOT with no problem...

Anyone had any issues that are similar ?

On my previous car (not a Clio but they both have 4 wheels etc) I had multiple problems with steering, had the track rods changed and alloys had a flat spot. Maybe worth checking?
