Clio 182 door hinge pins

Anyone ever removed the b*****d door hinge "pins" from a clio?

Have removed 1 circlip from each pin, is there anything else to do apart from just bang them out?

Access is pretty tight to hit them out so wondering if there is something I've missed!

It's a pain. Best with two people as someone will need to life the door to take the weight off the pins.

We use a long 30cm+ long center punch (well used and blunted), this makes access easier.

Thanks for the replies...

had a half hour break then came back to it with a nice big mallet and a socket extension bar...first hit - ooooosh! Straight out!

Had to swap out all the bits from old door to new (new door was completely bare) it's all done and finished, just need to work out why the central locking has stopped working

Turned out to be a simple case of disconnecting and reconnecting the battery...problem solved
