Got a delivery yesterday with a load of goodies in for me to play with!!!

Ordered an engine dynamics turbo kit in November minus the AEM engine management as I wanted to go GEN90, while waiting I sent the ECU up to chris@efiparts and he has out a base map on for me so that I can drive (gingerly) up to him to get it mapped proper job!

Here's a few piccys....

Have owned my Clio for 3years since 18k have now covered 46k and just want a bit more grunt! The car as it stands now has Koni adjustables, eibach sportlines, whitline ARB, puremotorsport top mount/strutbrace, braided lines, DS2500 front and rear pads, HC discs with R26R pattern, Ktec ultra exhaust, Ktec induction kit and Yokohama AD08R tyres.

Will post more progress as soon as I stop playing with friends cars and get to my own.... Emotional!!!ImageUploadedByTapatalk1389906944.418472.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1389906969.710051.jpg

Nice! Take it you went for the 230 kit?

Yes mate, fitting the thicker head gasket and running 99ron when mapped so were looking for around 240 but anything over 230 well mapped would be a bonus on low boost.. Lots of happy low boost guys out there!

It was £2250 for the turbo kit minus the management, on top of that I bought a secondhand gen90, mapping is extra too.. I'm fitting it myself which I'll enjoy alot, fixing customers cars is satisfying but playing with my own car is awesome!!

Brilliant.. I've seen them kits on ebay for around 4K I think. . That's why I bought one already built. plus I'm useless with the spanners

Interesting that your doing it yourself! It was barely cheaper for me to fit it rather than Andy doing it by the time I added in mapping, so I just got him to do it! Also he knows what he is doing should there be any problems!

Boosted Clios are becoming common as muck now but good on you for doing it yourself!

Yeah got to admit Andy has a great rep and his prices are amazing just can't see the sense in having another mechanic doing it, I think he'd agree if it was the other way around!

IIRC the ED kits are 3k with everything and another £500 with the pistons to go high boost (280) If I hadn't have found the supercharger kit on sale here last week I would have either gone ED or AndyRG. I spent weeks and weeks annoying myself what to do with my money. All the best with the project

Yeah that's right Ricardos, take off the AEM piggy back setup it's £2250, not bad! It's a nice kit.. Andy@ED is a good chap too, really helpful..

The kit looks does look really smart, and I've spoken to Andy a couple of times and yes helpful too. Which didn't help matters deciding which way to go!

I'm doing the supercharger conversion with a friend, what with buying the kit 2nd hand it's going to be much cheaper than a drive in drive out conversion. It was the only way I could go to keep the cost down but get the power.

  Trophy Turbo :)
Imo and thr cooler kit is really well made but 2" pipe just isnt what i think works well with a turbo car. The pipe work is a limitation of power.

Making it as reliable as possible mate, I'm not going to forge for the foreseeable future so I may as well, I'm pulling the engine out anyway doing belts, small leak on the cam cover so a few bolts more to take the head off isn't a problem. Just means it can be pushed that little bit harder on the dyno :)
