clio 182 with brembos

  Cooksport Fleet
will the clio sport 197 brembo brakes fit onto a 182? i dont know if its the same mountings or anything? anyone got any ideas?

  ST
No..as the 197 is 5 stud fitment and the 182 is 4 stud, i'm not sure if the 4pots would fit under 16" wheels either..

Why bother? You mean from a written-off 197?

Brembo/Godspeed sell a 172/182-specific kit... or at least one that fits the 172/182. Brian has them on his 172.

You could probably fit the 197 Brembo's with custom carriers/bracketry etc.

I've never driven a 182 with them, but i've driven a few 197's, and the brakes are one of the highlights. They almost make up for it being a porker! ;)

Unless you're a brand-wh*re, the standard callipers with braided lines and some "nice" squeely track pads with be more than enough!

is it worth doing or not really? i mean are they much better than the standard ones?

The brembo 4 pots are a huge improvement over the standard set up. It really depends what you use car for though. If you plan on doing a lot of track days then they would be a good investment. They cost over 1k to buy.

Brian’s were supplied and fitted by Mark Fish Motorsport.

Alternatively, as Christopher said, braided hoses and brembo h/c discs and a decent set of pads will improve the standard set up a lot.
