Clio Billabong for a runaround?

  An orange one
dont laugh guys lol, need a cheap to run and buy / insure second car while the vee is SORN'd through winter..

have spotted one online near me its a billabong 16v, i presume this is a 1.2, only concern of mine is it has a sunroof, are these known to leak or be problematic?

how much are 1.2 clio's to tax form 12 months?

and is £2250 for a 53 with 42k on the clock a good deal?

Don't laugh? What's so funny about a Billabong? ;)

Sunroofs are a pain but whilst mine does get the the roof lining wet when it rains heavily it's never caused me any actual problems. Does creak a little aswell but you get used to it.

that was a thought i had mate, wanted a 1.5dci but the only ones you can get for around £2k have been to the moon and back...

the £30 tax sounded ideal though!

Yes it's called Citren Vert iirc. Personally I love it and they're quite rare. Before the conversion it was a 1.4 billabong and cost £4000 with 23k (also 53 plate). Having said that it was bought by the previous owner around 5 years ago.

I'm not too sure on the price of that, best thing would be to have a look on Autotrader and see what others go for. :)

As far as I know the only difference between a 'Billabong super aw3summ edition' and a normal car is a sticker above the bump strip

Yeah i drive a billabong, the blue interior is a pain to keep clean, seats need a wet vac every few months

Mines got the blue seats, double spoiler, climate control and electric sunroof...

Id say at that price you've said its decent for sure.

Long shot but I'm totally fine with it, if you are really desperate for a billabong I suppose I'll swap for the vee.

1.4 y0 ;)

Worst seats ever mate. I had one from new.

If you get rain on them when getting in the car, they stain instantly. You end up with seats that make you look like a sex pest.

I had them in my extreme 3! What an utter nightmare, they were almost vinyl aswell which didn't help.

Great car though, auto lights, wipers, I had xenons aswell, locked itself. Kinda quiet and comfotable.

I had one as a runabout in a minute.

Same here, I specced mine from the factory. Xenons, climate, electric sunroof, multichanger etc etc. I should have just bought a Ph1 172. lol.

Hmmm well been to see the car, it felt like it had done about 80k not 43, the sunroof rattled to hell, the passengers mirror was loose, the drivers seat was loose, steering wheel had melted and there was dings and dents on every panel Inc Bonnet and roof,

No chance! Lol
