Clio Cup Options?

Just dug out my 172 cup brochure and was just looking through it when i came across a section that says:

contact your renault dealer for the superb race ready package.

its says you could choose from:

• 6 point rollcage
• 10 point roll cage
• Carbon metallic brake pads
• Fire extinguisher
• Safety Harnesses
• Full Race Seats.

Were the options even available when bought from new, or did renault never go ahead with these options?

Just wondered as never heard of those options before

One problem would be the fact that Renault would be selling cars from the factory with rool cages etc and thats not somehting people buy for light driving warently claims would be huge also insurance would be difficlt after all who's insure a 172 CUp if as standard it had a cage in it. Also it chnages it to a 2 seater realy.
Also trying to sort finance on one would be difficult as who knows what one would be like to sell after 3 years garenteed values would be difficult.

Also install a cage etc shows that standard idn't safe enough and the Clio already had 4 star safety record. You don't want to put a product on the market which says to the comsumer our standard product isn't safe for road use.

According to EVO (in their group test report of Focus RS v Clio Cup v Cooper S v Impreza WRX) Clio Cups have a slightly lower seat than 172 FF - is that true? I never knew that.

i always thought it was the same interior that comes in the dynamique ?
