Clio Engine Conversion

Hi all, planning to start a project and will need some help/ideas if possible. On christmas day, took my little 1.2 Biarritz out for a spin and much to my horror, the cam belt broke hence causing a large amount of internal damage to the engine.
However, as one gate closes another one opens and as I have wanted to do a conversion for a while now, i figured it a perfect time to try and scout an engine to put into the clio. However, finding the right eninge with the right mileage as you can imagine has been pretty hard. Im hoping to get an Rsi engine in there or even be so bold as to put a valver lump in there?

Has anyone seen anything that they think might be a suitable choice for this project? I have a Mk1 R Reg Biarritz with valver wheels and a little soundsystem. Any ideas or help is much appreciated

To be honest id only do a 2.0 16v

if your going to the cost and bother then thats the best option, if not then just stick another 1.2 in it and sell it to buy a valver/rsi if thats what you want.

I guess so, Ive only just turned 19 so was a little bit hesitant of the 2.0 16v option (as much as i wanted it) purely for insurance reasons. However, Im sure there is a way around that problem.

on clio 1.4 16v.. £700

yeah i live in shoebury which is a very bad place for car jacking and break ins etc. ive lived here for 2 years and had my parents car broken into 3 times!
