Cost to fit a dephaser pulley and belts?

Hello people, I've had this annoying tapping/diesel like sound coming from under the bonnet for just over a year now. When cold it sounds fine, when warm it sounds like sh.it to be honest. Would anyone happen to know the cost of the parts needed and also a fitted price? I'm in Norwich and unsure of a good quality garage to fit it, many thanks.

Cit-ren is near your, they're meant to know what they are doing! for reference we charge £600 all in with all the seals, bolts, dephaser, both belt kits and oil and filter

Thanks Fred will give them a look and enquire. Just recently changed the oil filter and had an oil change, what's the worst that can happen with this problem if its not sorted mate?

Valve to piston contact if the dephaser completley collapses......but i have heard them tap on for years!!!!

It can't collape! it just moves from stop to stop. The only one I've seen break has the oil seal torqued to a mind blowing tightness which cracked the housing and it went bang under load

Dan.... i know they go from stop to stop ive had em apart & the Mazda 6 VVT, similar thing.... but the pics you show there..... that could, cause damage... just sheer luck if it didnt on the one you had. And as for the centre cap with oil seal......its only nipped to 25Nm's!!

All the hex oil seal caps on dephasers ive taken off have been rediculously tight!
