Is this worth it ?Theres no engine damage and it would only be front parts

Luckily the structural bits of the V6 are just stock normal Clio bits so it might be cheap to fix up but you never know what has been damaged till you get a good look at it or get the tape measure out.

If the engine had blown up thats probably easier than crash damage as engines arnt that bad to get hold of and less risky.

Looking at the picture though Id say keep away thats some damage.

Using offical bits I recon your looking at £5k+ to fix

If the chasis is twisted then your looks £++ but if not then should not be to bad but V6 parts i would imagine will not be cheap!!!!

just as a rough idea cos ive recently bought em.....

front valaance £100 for a second hand one, wings £400 each, bumper £440, headlights £40 each, bonnet £180, n thats just for main bits..

Conclusion...very expensive to repair....

Yep, although it wasnt from a renault dealership it was an original renault part, never been fitted, never been painted from a specialist breakers yard in Accrington.

13K + 5K parts might as well get one that still looks like a clio and hasnt been mashed into venessa feltz

that seems a lot of money. i see a scooby for sale for £2000 a few yars ago in a scrape yard and that had only very minor front damage. no one evn bought that so the bloke who own the scrape yard gave it to a kid who worked their. 2 weeks later it ws on the road lol. car was werth about £16000 if it was in good condition. so £12000 for a smashed up v6 seems a lot of money.

If it was cost effective to repair would the insurance company not have repaired it just a thought ...
Maybe, different companies have different policies.

They might have said repairs are worth 40% the value of the car before the crash so write it off so there no other possible problems + they dont have to insure the driver for the rest of the year.

I think that says it all...they seem to be trying to sell it as an immaculate V6 that just happens to have a bit of damage on the front, rather than a badly smashed V6, which is what it looks more like. Also possibley listed as a write off which would do nothing for its future value?

if you want to buy a pair from renault 2 of those circled in picture will set you back £1916 !! so fook knows how much the rest is going to cost.

Having said that.. it appears that the main chassis has survived .. (the cross members sticking out underneath) this is aluminium and std box section that can be bought almost anywhere. bear in mind that the V6 was over engineering ,cobbled together.

I doubt very much that the chassis is bent.. it has huge RSJs running down the side of the car. 12k is a bit much thou! 8k would be a tempting price !

Im not sure what the deal is but if that car is set to be broken then i defo wanna hear about it .. i need one of those damm pods !! 3 months later and still no hint of one anywhere !!
