Creaky Clutch Pedel 172cup

Creaky Clutch Pedel 172cup
I've had my CUP about four months now and I love it to bit but I have one problem apart from the odd rattle.

When I sit in traffic for any length of time the clutch penel becomes a bit still and creaks.

Is the problem the clutch, cable or pedel.

Help would be much appreciated as its starting to P*SS me off:mad:

its the stiff clutch (think it means worn) which eventually causes the pedal to squeak, ive had the pedal assembly replaced under warranty which made it a little better. there is another creak coming from the clutch itself clearly caused by wear.

But it's only done 18k.

mine was like that at 19k but they wouldn't cover it under warranty said they thought it was wear that was causing it. try stealers but they would only change the pedal which got rid of the creak inside the car but when the car is warm and you move the pedal slowly you can hear the creaking inside the clutch housing.

Mine started creaking after a long journey [300] but like joshydee said it only starts creaking now when warm. I'm taking it to Rentech in a coulple of weeks time to have the clutch cable changed.

They replaced the clutch on my 182 about 3k ago was mint and so smooth up until this hot weather now when depressing the clutch it is so loud like a rubbery squeeking noise and doesnt feel at all smooth!
Im not a mechanic and not sure if mine is the same problem as yours but why would it bw the cable arnt there rubber bushes somewhere? could if have anything to do wih that??

Well i took mine to Mike@ Rentech on monday [Well my girlfriend did] and he had a look and was pretty sure it's the cable thats causing the problem, but i have heard that if the bushes do go it can make a creaking sound like your describing.

It sounds like yours has done the same thing as mine, when shes cold the clutch actions really smooth, and silent but after about ten minutes she starts creaking:mad:

I'll let you know how i get on mate:D

I did a search on this subject a while back. Sure someone fixed it by replacing the cable self adjusting gear.
Its on these very pages somewhere so have a look :)
