Dare V2s, Good, Bad

  Turbo'd MX-5 MK4

I am just about to order some 17" Dare V2s for my Mk2 172, what are peoples experiences of these wheels?

Quality?

Weight?

not sure about the weight but in my experience the finish isnt too good, not sure if it was affected by any of the wheel cleaning products i used but the paint is bubbling in places after only 18months of having them on. looked great to start with but im wondering if all wheels finished in "high power silver" suffer this problem as when speaking to a large company who refurb thousands of wheels they said they did not offer a "high power silver" finish due to quality issues

you can get some Hi_Octane H109 wheels which look identical for £499.96 from your local Motor World, that includes tyres, fully balanced

Are they the new venons?

venoM ;)

they are popular unfotunately too many of them are about but they do suit the clio IMO and if you arent bothered about being original and just want a wheel to suit the car you could do far worse

i like them, know they are popular, but IMO they look great on the 172. R-Tec will do them with a full set of Eagle F1 GS-D3s fitted, balanced and locking wheel nuts for £800.

on another note, Demontweeks do not sell them, I was wondering whether this was because of quality issues?
