dash lights

i have just taken my dash apart to get at my speedo light, and i cant find the main light with illuminates the speedo, can anyone help. MK Phase 3 thanks

If its the same as the Ph1, there will be a largish bulb in the corner(s) of the spedo dial, if you still cant find it i will have a look at mine when i get home (old one sitting on desk at home atm)

i took it all apart and i saw behind the petrol guage the was a socket with nothing going in.... it really confused me. there was no give with the dial so i couldnt get a proper look... might just go to the renault dealer... anyone got any idea how much it costs and if you can get different coloured bulbs

Right, to move the dial;s you have to take the front of them off, a few clips along each egade and seeral screws dotted around (5 i think), then you have to remove one screw (top left) and loosen one screw (bottme right) to remove the spedo gauge. There are no wires to the sockets, it all printed on that plastic stuff attached to the back of the dials, on mine im sure there was 2 bulbs of each big gauage, in opersite corners.

As for the differetn coloured bulbs, they are all clear, they ar coloured by a coloured piece of plastic between the bulb and dial face.

I would imagine reanult would charge a fair bit for doing this as you have to remove a fiar bit of dash, (top, steering wheel shroud, and bit under stearing wheel), when i first did this it took me about 30 mins to completely remove the dials.

I presume this IS a Mk1 clio, as you have sed its a Ph3
