Disc brake advice

  Sunflower & Golf Mk6 BMT
Hi people.

My brake pads were replaced on my 172 last year, but my disc's are starting to look a bit worn. They have not started scoring or squeeling but the discs are worn by at least 3-4mm.

the performance of the brakes is great but can someone tell me at what point should a disc be replaced?

Also i saw some cheap grooved discs on ebay, can anyone tell me if they would be as good or better than the renault ones as they seem very cheap! here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RENAULT-CLIO-...DVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item200040017714

Many thanks

I think you'll find the majority of people prefer to stick with the standard style & do not recommend grooved or drilled brake discs for a variety of reasons.
I changed mine too late, my brakes didnt brake when i wanted them to & i ran into the back of someone!

You can reuse the rings.
