Does the aerial have an amplifier ?

Basicly i have no reception at all, ive done everything already suggested when i searched the forum (took down headlining and cleaned base, screwed it on tight ect) what i did notice is that it has 2 wires coming from the base, is one supposed to have power to it and if so is it from the radio loom ?

I have an after market radio and the remote wire is not being used.


Help its doing my nut in and i hate things that dont work, so much so that i'll get rid of the car even though ive only had it 3 days

Yep ive even had a length of wire hanging in its place and it dont do jack.

No mate, the standard one was rubbish so i put in a Kenwood, that was the same so now have a top notch Sony that is no better either.

I ended up buying a new mount and cable from the stealers and fitted them both, its not a hard job really but i now have crystal clear sound.

My old mount and cable/wire looked in perfect cond but it obviously wasnt.
