engine swap???

  saxo vtr
hi there just looking a bit of advice, I have just recently bought a clio 1.2 98-06 petrol but its too slow for me and don't want to pay high insurance for a clio sport, so im just wondering if a engine swap is a good idea and if it fits and all that. don't know much about Renaults lol cheers

Not worth the effort as 172's are so cheap and often it's costs more to insure a conversion.

However from the first posted sounds like you don't plan to tell them?

hadn't decided yet moneys tight, but does it cost much for the engine swap and is it a direct fit?

It costs how ever long it takes multiplied by the hourly rate of the garage you take it to.

It'll be an immense amount of hassle and cost, then not telling the insurance means you're not covered when you either roll it into a ditch or crash into a bus stop and kill someone.

Not worth it what so ever.

Oh another one.!

As above not worth it. Can't afford a quicker car nor the insurance on a conversion. In that case get used to the 1.2 !
