My laptop has 2 users me and the missus, I have Facebook and if someone post a video I can open it wad watch it, when the wife uses the laptop and goes on her Facebook she cannot open videos and ask her to download Adobe Reader X1 which we already have on the laptop.
When she try's to download it again it always stops at 50% and ask her to close internet explorer down and don't know how to do that.

Any help please

Not ideal but how about creating a new profile for your wife? Sounds like it could be profile related.

Internet Explorer !? Didn't realise people still used that.

Google Chrome / Firefox / Safari

Ditto!
If she has her own profile it could be that Adobe might have only installed on your profile and not shared across the two. If its saying to close Internet Explorer just open up task manager and close it in "processes" then it'll be iexplore.exe. Then try re-downloading it?

She has her own profile bud

Yes but you need to create a new one (a 3rd one on your machine). I am almost certain it's profile related and nothing else as it works fine for you.

Her profile has probably got corrupted or similar meaning if you create a brand new one for her it should sort the issue.

Or the fact that when he installed Adobe, he only installed it on his profile and not every profile on the computer ;-)

Use firefox, have it setup to clear all history on closing, should sort it.

I'm a chrome man, but the auto delete history thing on FF should fix.

Sounds like something to do with program sharing. Make sure on the admin account that all users have access to Adobe Reader
