Failed MOT

:dapprove: First MOT I've but car in for and coming out at £177 worth of work - front springs were damaged and also bloke told me it failed on a brake like and the airfreshener hanging from my rear view mirror:S whats that all about

Sounds like a crappy garage, any other place would have just taken it off.

The air freshner is an obstruction. Gutted about the rest though.

My MOT got done in March, failed on a cracked coil spring and it had no advisories whatsoever which i was suprised giving its age!

Coil springs are cheap to replace matey!

Man that's pretty harsh to fail cause of an air freshener!

Mine failed on a spring, got 2 from MattBlack for £40 or so though.

i always have mine fully serviced before putting it through an mot. touch wood not failed one yet

Thats very expensive is this an independant dealer? If you know anyone mechanically competent a coil spring can be done in 45 mins to an hour, is it a new brake light you need?
